I attended Rutgers in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to earn my bachelor's in genetics. I'm currently using that degree to contribute to Alzheimer's disease research. After Rutgers, I took graduate courses in human genetics, anatomy and physiology, and biochemistry. My skills in genetics and life sciences allow me to serve as a tutor for students struggling in these areas. Along with tutoring in math and science, I offer my knowledge of the SATs to provide support to students. I can teach them valuable test-taking skills that can improve their performance on the exam, as well as work with them to improve their essay writing skills. Students who need help writing and editing their college application essay can benefit from my knowledge of what schools are looking for. I can teach students study skills that are ideal for their learning style, prepare them for the SAT in math, and review algebra 2 concepts as needed. As a tutor, I believe it is important to build a rapport with each student. My teaching style is flexible and patient. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy playing basketball, going hiking, and having adventures in nature. I love watching movies and playing board games with friends.
